Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

Keep your fleet compliant and running clean with high-quality DEF products from J & H Oil Company

What is Diesel Exhaust Fluid?

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous solution made from 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% de-mineralized water. DEF is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from diesel engines, helping vehicles meet strict environmental regulations while improving fuel economy.

DEF is consumed by your vehicle's SCR system and needs to be replenished regularly. Most modern diesel vehicles have a separate DEF tank that should be refilled during routine maintenance or when the low-level warning light appears.
